The membrane consists of a multi-layer laser-perforated polymer film with a microscopically fine pore size of 0.0001 microns. The water is forced through the semi-permeable (permeable) membrane under pressure. Since water molecules are the smallest molecules, only they can penetrate the fine pores of the membrane. The unwanted pollutants are retained and removed directly from the membrane via the wastewater. Regardless of whether it is coliform germs, herbicides, fungicides, asbestos, nitrate, nitrite, uranium, drug residues or simply lime, the TFC membrane removes all pollutants from tap water with a cleaning effect of up to 100%.
